Watch Novak Try to Train His Dog… and End Up Being the One Who Learns to Sit!

Novak Djokovic, known for his discipline and control on the tennis court, decided to apply those same principles to training his new canine companion. He envisioned a well-behaved and obedient dog, capable of impressive tricks and perfectly timed responses to commands. However, the dynamic between Novak and his furry friend quickly revealed a different kind of learning curve – one where the student became the master, in a rather unexpected way.

Novak’s training sessions reportedly began with enthusiastic commands and a variety of treats. However, his dog, with a spirit as independent as its owner’s on the court, seemed to have its own agenda. Instead of attentively following instructions, the dog would often wander off, chase butterflies, or simply stare blankly at Novak with an air of mild disinterest.

Frustrated but undeterred, Novak tried different techniques, demonstrating the desired actions with exaggerated movements and encouraging tones. In one particularly memorable session focused on the “sit” command, Novak found himself repeatedly demonstrating the action, bending his knees and lowering himself to the ground in an effort to show his dog what was required.

The dog, observing this peculiar display, apparently decided that this “sitting” thing looked rather comfortable. While Novak continued to issue the command, his dog would simply watch him go through the motions, occasionally tilting its head as if in mild amusement. In the end, it was Novak who got a thorough workout in the sitting department, while his dog remained blissfully un-trained.

Novak’s foray into dog training serves as a humorous reminder that even the most disciplined individuals can be outmaneuvered by a determined pet. While his dream of a perfectly obedient dog may take some time (and perhaps a professional trainer), he undoubtedly learned a valuable lesson: sometimes, the best way to teach is to lead by example – even if that example involves repeatedly sitting on the ground.
